Sarah Roberts, LCSW, is a clinical social worker, cat mom, and therapist based in Pittsburgh, PA. Sarah enjoys working with people facing life transitions, young adults, women, non binary, trans, and LGBTQIA+ people of all ages and backgrounds. Sarah has extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ people and identifies as part of the community.

Sarah utilizes a mix of feminist, acceptance and commitment, and existential approaches. Sarah likes to laugh, talk politics and pop culture, and probably drop a few curse words. Sarah enjoys exploring religiosity and sprirutality with people of all backgrounds. She feels honored to learn about life from the perspective of the people she works with and the personal experiences and perspective each brings to the session.

Sarah understands that often, people in therapy are up against larger systems; systems of power like sexism, racism, poverty, homophobia, or smaller systems, like the workplace or family. Therapy cannot undo these larger problems, but we can try to learn ways to minimize the damage to ourselves and enact our values, if possible.

It takes courage to be who you are today, now more than ever.

Sarah grew up in the South, moved to the west coast as a very young woman, and then again to Pittsburgh. They enjoy gardening, making pizza, spending time with their spouse, and fighting their two curious cats for the last bite of food.
